About Mango Martini
The mango martini cocktail is an effortless and quick drink that will take around five minutes to prepare. It is a delicious tropical version of a classic martini.
This light and trendy drink only takes three ingredients – Vodka, Triple Sec, and mango puree.
Gin or Vodka?
I love both and have a preference for vodka. But not any vodka, Grey Goose. Smooth and gentle in flavor.
The gin is the same, and my favorite is Bombay Sapphire Gin. Rich in flavor.
Either liquor makes excellent classic cocktails. Of course, a gin martini shaken or stirred with ice cubes served in a chilled martini glass is the best. Do not forget the lemon twist.
With both gin and vodka, you can make this wonderful mango martini recipe.
Never leave your martini in the mixing glass too long with the ice. Mine barely sees the ice.
Here are the ingredients you will need to make this mango Martini
Fresh mangoes – peel, remove the flesh from the core, and puree in a blender
Vodka – use a vodka that is not flavored and that is smooth
Triple sec – gives it that smooth texture with a beautiful hint of orange, which balances beautifully with the other ingredients. Grand Marnier or Cointreaux are great substitutions.
Ice cubes – only use ice cubes. You do not want ice particles to mix with your drink.
Equipment Needed
Blender – I love my Vitamix as it purees to the finest degree
Peeler – to remove the outer skin of your fruits
Cutting board – to cut your fruit into chunks
Knife – to cut the flesh away from the mango’s core and cut it into chunks
Cocktail shaker – to blend all your ingredients. If you do not have one, use two glasses.
Martini glasses – I am a classic when it comes to my glasses; therefore, I always use tall, thin, wide-mouth glasses. If you can, chill them before pouring your martini in them.

Using fresh fruits for mango puree
Choose well-mature mangoes to make the mango puree in this cocktail recipe.
It’s super easy to make in a blender. The recipe is for two. Increase the quantities accordingly for more guests.
You will need about two mangoes to make one cup of puree.
How do you make mango puree
Cube the fruit and puree with a splash of water until puree forms.
Sweeten to taste. Not all mangoes are sweet, and the sweetness varies from each fruit. Aff a bit of sugar, honey, or agave to taste.
Frozen fruits will work as well. Defrost the frozen mangoes before blending them.
To add some extra layer of flavor, a dash of lemon juice will add that bit of jazz.
What goes well alongside your mango cocktail
We always enjoy cocktails with a small tray of cheeses, French brie, olives, and some Spanish Manchego, which are great to nibble on.
Or have fun preparing one or all of our favorite appetizers below:
Gougeres with Cheese and Scallion bring a perfect balance to all cocktails.
Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry Nibbles are perfect for a crowd and always a hit.
Sun Dried Tomato Tapenade is a classic with a spin, and you can never make enough of it.
Food and drinks are best when consumed together.
And as with all alcoholic drinks, please consume responsibly and never drink and drive.
Enjoy!
