Pappardelle with Spanish Spiced Shrimps
The softness and the great flavor of the two paprikas, the sweetness of the Spanish blended with the smoked paprika, with the cream sherry and lots of pepper on the shrimps, the lemon squeezed over it, rendered a fabulous dish that was devoured.
Pan-Seared New York Steak with Whiskey and Cream
We choose New York steaks, however fillets or rib-eye can be an excellent alternative. Cognac is a great substitute for whiskey.
Salmon with Steamed Bok Choy and Almonds
I called steamed rather than saute bok choy as the bok choy releases lots of natural moisture, adding a couple of tablespoons of water rather created extra steam to the cooking process. Why basil? I love crisp basil and it has the same mustardy flavor as the bok choy when cooked.
Orzo with Basil Butter, Peppers, Tomatoes
In this recipe, the basil butter gives the pasta a great flavor. The garlic has just a small hint and with the lemon zest, all the flavors blend well.
